Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and received several international and national awards. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy and studies on child victims in the legal system. She currently acts as a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
